Job Summary;

The Public Relations Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating communications strategy that fit the company profile, developing effective PR plans using appropriate strategies and tactics, organizing and coordinating PR activities, you will be the one to project the “face” of the company and will be instrumental in enhancing its popularity and trustworthiness. The goal is to build a strong communications network around the company that will ensure good relationship with the general public and rising awareness of the company and its brand.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
  • Managing enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations
  • Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
  • Studying the organization’s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
  • Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours
  • Managing and sharing content with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook
  • Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation
  • Creating and managing brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, etc
  • Analysing media coverage
  • Distributing information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress
  • Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
  • Writing and producing presentations and press releases and other media communications to promote clients.

Qualifications, Experience and skills;

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, PR, marketing or related field.
  • 3 year’s experience in the same field/profession
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pitch to media.
  • Knowledge of consumer marketing.
  • An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
  • Understanding of social media and solid experience working with bloggers.
  • Responds well under pressure with strict time limit.
  • Quick and enthusiastic learner.
