Job Summary

The Support, Accounts will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The role involves around analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. He/she will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing tax returns. The position holder will have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Managing client accounts.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintain and update accounting software and systems.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and financial policies.
  • Experience with financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Experience with audit processes and documentation.
