Job Summary;
The Digital Content scout should be a highly motivated and organized individual ready to join our team as a part-time Content Scout for Local Events. This position will be responsible for scouting and gathering information on various events happening around town, and updating our website regularly with the latest event information, regular maintenance, and analysis. You will also need to examine data analytics reports to achieve a better understanding of the effectiveness of content marketing strategies and how to improve them.
The Digital Content scout coordinates with other team members to implement campaign strategies that align with client marketing goals and internal targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify local events happening around town, such as concerts, festivals, art exhibits, sports events, and community gatherings.
- Collect and verify information on each event, including the date, time, location, description, and admission fee, if applicable.
- Supporting the Lead Communications in following-up and improve the digital marketing strategy and other tasks related to communications
- Conduct demographic, keyword and other research related to campaign set up.
- Analyze performance data and optimize campaigns for better performance.
- Maintain a calendar of upcoming events and ensure that it is updated regularly on our website.
- Gather data and complete website reports
- Collaborate with Business Convergence team to fully understand client goals for each campaign.
- Communicate with event organizers to gather additional information and coordinate any media coverage or promotions.
- Report on campaign performance and progress to your supervisor and business convergence.
- Create engaging and informative content for each event, including feature articles, photos, and videos.
- Promote events through social media platforms and other online channels to generate interest and increase attendance.
- Attend events as needed to provide on-site coverage and capture content for our website and social media.
- Retrieve and explain analytics of varying digital platforms to the lead team.
Qualifications, Experience and skills;
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Industry knowledge in digital marketing, communications and media.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and databases.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and verify information quickly and accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation and marketing.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A passion for local events and a desire to promote community engagement.
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms, and content Creation.
- Knowledge of CRM tools, Google AdWords, and online analytics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and all levels of staff.
- Ability to work on several different assignments at the same time.
- Good understanding of office management.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently on projects.
